'Karaoke,' written by Tulsa native Matt Savage, is a riotous, broadly played farce with an anything-can-happen edge, based on an actual karaoke contest.
Set in 'a Holiday Inn lounge in the town where you grew up,' Karaoke fittingly features plenty of audience participation, including a fifth championship contestant chosen from the crowd. With a score by pop music icons like Madonna and Billy Joel, "Karaoke" has been called "sing-along comedy with hummable heart."
"Karaoke," a critically acclaimed smash hit in Boston, has been rewritten specifically for its Tulsa debut.
