The 82 Years Of Theatre Tulsa - 50s, 60s, 70s- As printed in Tulsa People, August 1996
 

1958 - TLT is one of only two non-professional theater companies in the country to be selected by the Ford Foundation to present works by new playwrights.

1965 - At 4:00 a.m., after the third performance of The Women, fire breaks out destroying all costumes, stage furniture, props, etc., but the show goes on as scheduled without missing a performance.

1966 - Again, fire breaks out during South Pacific. Peformances moved to East Central High School only after a one-night closing.

1974 - TLT changes its name to Theatre Tulsa, Inc.
