Our Next Production: The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds

Eve and the Apple, Original Sin, Survival of Species, Ego, Id, and SuperEgo, Collective Subconscious, Nature Vs. Nurture, Skinner Boxes, Nuclear Families, Breakdown of the American Family, Tough Love, Indigo Children….. What’s Next? Where do we find touchstones of inspiration that we can hold strong to when challenges arise? Parents are among the first, and the most prominent and lasting of Teachers to their children. But, who plans the lessons? What are the criteria for measuring the effect of the instruction? When did we become aware of the patterns or cycles of our influences upon the actions of others, and what are we going to do now that we recognize the need for change? Paul Zindel has written a Memory Play, much like Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie, that holds out its hand to lead us into individual experiences of Family through his own. He made it through, and if we hold tightly enough, we might as well.
