Theatre Tulsa is continuing its Broadway Series of popular musicals with the story of The Greatest Showman, “Barnum The Musical.”
“Barnum The Musical” — featuring a book by Mark Bramble, lyrics by Michael Stewart, and music by Cy Coleman — is based on the life of showman P. T. Barnum, covering the period in the mid-1800s when Barnum was at finding success with his performing companies. In its first year on Broadway, “Barnum” was nominated for 10 Tony Awards, ultimately winning three.
The character P.T. Barnum has also had a resurgence over the past year, due to the movie musical “The Greatest Showman,” starring Hugh Jackman.

The cast stars Scott Black as P.T. Barnum and Margaret Stall as Charity Barnum. Other featured actors include: Fletcher Gross as the Ringmaster, Lydia Gray as Jenny Lind, LaKeysta Tipton-Goree and Joice Heth and Dustin Harmon as Tom Thumb.
